It is owned and operated by the Favoroso Family. Its home-style meals were created by the family matriarch, Florence Favoroso, and her recipes are still used daily. Joey Favoroso, one of Florence's sons, worked at Villa Vito's as a teenager before his family bought this restaurant, being the first Favoroso to work there. Villa Vito is reminiscent of those restaurants that you would discover in older ethnic neighborhoods of Philadelphia, New York, or Boston's North End. The Favoroso Family reopened this bar and named it after their nephew, now 22-years-old. It's a tribute to the Irish roots of their family tree.
